Swiss and Liechtenstein nationals are required to have a valid visa to enter Indonesia, be it a prearranged visa obtained in one's home country or a visa-on-arrival. Processing Time
The Embassy requires 5 business days to process visa applications. Visa applications will only be processed upon receipt of complete required application documents. Please note that postal delivery time is excluded from visa application processing time. If the visa is not used within 90 days since its issuance, it will be void to use. Since the visa must be used to enter Indonesia within 90 days after the date of issuance of the visa, therefore please submit your visa application in good time. Visa application sent more than 90 days before date of entry to Indonesia will not be immediately processed. Should the said application is approved and granted a visa, the issuance of the visa will be postponed until the appropriate time. As for applications sent by post, please anticipate longer period of delivery, subject to postal delivery time by the post office. Visa applicants from countries that require special visa approval/authorization may take longer time to process. During the peak travel season there may be a waiting period for making an application to the Embassy of Indonesia. Applicants should therefore submit their applications in good time. Postal Return of Passports
Once processed by the Embassy, you have the option of having your passport returned via postal service. To do so, please enclose/submit a self-addressed return envelope with an attached stamp of CHF 6.30 at the time of submitting your visa application. The validation of the visa starts upon arrival in Indonesia. Visa holder can stay in Indonesia throughout the length of stay allowed in the visa, starts from first day of arrival. Visa holder must enter Indonesia within 90 days after the date of issue of the visa. The 90 days limit is mentioned in the visa as date of expiry. If the visa is not used to enter Indonesia within 90 days since its issuance, it will be void to use.
